So I'm searching for a camcorder to buy- and I find to camears made by the same company, they are both like the same price, but one comes with additional tripod so it's a little more in price-

BUT the one that has the tripod has 1200Xdigital zoom ,and the cheaper one has 240Xdigital zoom. I'm jsut asking is 240 really crappy zoom? And which of the two should I get

If you're wondering what the cameras are- they are
cheap one =Hitachi DVD Camcorder w/ 1.3 MP Still Shot, DZMV780MA
More expensive one= Hitachi DZBX35A DVD Camcorder with Bonus Tripod Accessory Kit

AND if you have either one of them ,can you tell me if you like them or hate them, or any other suggestions to which one I should get!

Thanks!

I'm interested in making videos, for school projects and other things (like YouTubing), and I want to get a good camcorder. I need it to have good video quality along with good sound.

So, if you know of any camcorders, please post, regardless of the price. Thanks.

I recently bought a camcoder that records everything onto a mini DVD. I want to know if I can just put that mini DVD into my laptop's CD/DVD drive and play the video......?

Also, Is there any difference in playing the mini DVD read only and DVD read/write on my laptop......?

Do I need any additional drivers installed....?

This option is in my manuel for my DVD camcorder, and I did not utilize it before recording on the DVD. Did I make a huge mistake? Will my data be erased once finalized? ....Oh, what does "finalize" mean anyway? 1000 points for the best answer! (well, maybe not 1000......)

I have a video I recorded of a presentation. At points I panned over to a screen where slides were shown, but it is kinda blurry.
I have copies of the presentation given in Powerpoint. I exported the slides to JPEGs, and want to insert these still images into my final video where I panned over to the screen to have a better quality in the final video. Can anyone recommend what kind of Video Editing software I can use to do this? The key is the video has the audio running with the presenter speaking, and I want to keep that audio running in the background?
Most software I have found, lets you insert pictures, but you lose audio?
