I'm a big picture person, but looking into getting a camcorder now. I want to be able to take a picture with my camcorder if something were to happen and I don't have time to grab my camera. I'm familiar with Megapixels, but not to sure what K Pixels are. Is that less than a megapixel? The camcorder I looked at says for Digital Sill Resolution it has 450K pixels. Will that take a good picture and print out clear?

Thanks

I want to get a tripod for my father for Christmas. He is not a profressional photographer, this would be purely for recreation. He has both a digital still camera and a digital video camera. My question is whether the same tripod can fit both devices. My main concern is with the connector piece.

I don't want nothing fancy just want to record the kids. I like my camcorder now just want something smaller. I have been looking and I think I want a mindv recorder but was just wondering if it transfers to a vhs like my old one. I just hook it to the vcr with an adapter and I record it to a vhs right. Not into editing and all that just want it to record and that it is something smaller than I have now. Thank you very much for any info you can give me.
