You know how if you use your own camcorder, the video will look really clean. But the video from TV shows and such look much different. Is it because they use expensive equipment?

I'm an amature movie maker and I was wondering which one I should buy. I heard both JVC (been hearing more about this one though) And Sony were good. My budget is $4000 but I will go over if there is some amazing difference. Won't go anywhere over $6000 though cuz then it's ridiculous! Any suggestions?

I'm using STUDIO Ver 10 - and want to capture/import some video sequences taken on a digital still camera. Studio help pages suggest that it won't access info on a DVD which is not finished. I've tried transfering it onto the hard disk but that still won't work!

The battery is fully charged...even the power cord is connected....able to open the cassete compartment door and hear ding sound confirming that the cassette compartment door is open and the cassette is suppose motor up but it does not.

On LCD it prompts to take the cassette out.

Any one know the fix or what do you suggest?

How do you view what you record on a digital mini dv recorder? It seems to be a difficult and time consuming process. Do you have to download it to your computer to view what you have recorded? Is there a way to make it portable, can it be put on tape or disk or does it always have to be viewed through the camcorder? It sounds as though the camera itself is what you use to view the movies. What do you do with what you already have recorded when you want to record more?
As far as the new camcorders that record directly on a mini disk, I keep reading that the picture quality doesn't compare to the digital mini dv, and that you can't edit and enhance the movie once it's been recorded to disk like you can with original video tape camcorders and mini dv digital camcorders. I need to make the purchase this weekend, but when I got to the store last night I was overwhelmed and there wasn't anyone who had time to answer my questions.

Every year I try to record the Christmas light displays in my neighborhood with my digital video camera, but every year my recordings don't come out very well. They either come out blurry or shaky or with too much contrast (in other words, you can see the lights but nothing else). Any tips? Thanks guys, you rock!

I'm starting to get into film making so I will need a camcorder that has good quality and something that is able to connect to the computer to edit the footage. I'm on a tight budget as it's my parents' budget, not mine. (I'm only a teenager.) I don't know how to choose a camcorder since I no nothing of it, but is it possible to find a cheap, quality camcorder?

I'm going on a trip with my bf + his sister to their hometown, Nicaragua. I know there's alot of things i want to tape (their house/land is gigantic!) and i need the perfect camcorder. I need one with a battery that lasts looooooooong, crystal clear video recording with sound, night vision, built in light, and portable.

I have a very low budget so, if anyone can, let me know the #1 cheap best camcorder and a #1 expensive camcorder (but not all expensive ones are the best ones)

+ which form is better? the minidv, minidvd, tape, hard disk, etc....?

i'll be gone for two weeks so it needs to last a long time without all these tapes + cds lying around

thnx in advance :)
