what camcorder is best for me and my computer?

i have it narrowed down to a hard drive or a flip and shoot i have a gateway profile which has windows 98 second edition are both these camcorders compatable with my computer i am clueless we just got this computer a few months ago and i am still learning any info would be appriciated. ps i don't want a mini dvd though i don't want to buy the extras and were looking to spend betweeb 150.00 to 400.00 thanks for the help

if u dont want mini dv -
would suggest u to buy a digitcal camera and it will help u to shoot movies too..
