I want to have two cameras focused separately on each of two people as they talk to one other, and record a single video capture of their interaction that shows each person simultaneously, side-by-side. Any recommendations about video formats, hardware, etc. are welcome too.

What is the best make for an affordable price. Sony? Panasonic? Samsung? JVC? Canon? Ive been looking at Canon Elura 100, is it a good one? Is MiniDV the best storage type? And also can a camcorder take digital camera quality photos? Would it be best to buy camcorder that can make good quality photos OR digital camera that can make good quality videos? I hope someone can give me some expert advice. Thanks

I recently bought a camcoder, and I would like the name of a program or anything else that will help me to break the video that I have taken into smaller chapters. I know I can do this as I record, but for events like a school play I dont want to stop recording for 1 sec and miss part of it. Additional information is that the camcoder I am using is a Sony DCR-DVD405.

I want to capture low quality, and then do a batch capture in premiere. Is there a way I can do that? I don't see any settings to decrease the video quality when I capture.

Are there any affordable microphones for movie making, that don't have to attach to a camera. You record sound separate, then connect it to the computer and add it into the movie.

I wish to capture professional quality video and at the same time very high resolution images.
In still images I like NIKON manual lens adjusting types. I always want focus control manual and not autofocus.

I have experience in capturing video using still digi cam of SONY 5.1mp
I'm not able to understand what exactly is the difference between DIGI CAM captured video and CAMCORDER captured video! I understand STILL IMAGE resolution absolutely well but want to learn what decides quality in VIDEO...
whats CCP? how does this video capturing through camcorder work..why professional movies can not be made with camcorders?
Please help.. also if you have some recommendations on specific camera models on still and or movie ...let me know

(Please be specific about Model name and number) Any ideas and/or opinions would be greatly appreciated. Please, help! Thanks :)
