Can I capture low quality video with premeire from my DV camera?

I want to capture low quality, and then do a batch capture in premiere. Is there a way I can do that? I don't see any settings to decrease the video quality when I capture.

Not sure why you would want to do this but there is no way to change the quality of how the video is captured as far as I know.

However, you can change how it is output. Why not capture the regular way but choose a lossy format for outputting such as MPEG-1?
