I know nothing about camcorders. I want one to video tape my son and family events. And I also will be using it with my apple computer and imovie, and idvd. Can you tell me what I should look for and what I could do without. Thank you.

First, ask a lot question about camcorder at a store. The DVD disc video cameras are quite popular right now this way you don't have to burn it on computer anymore, but if you still want to make a movie out of it then you have to have a program to capture video and edit it and then burn it. Secondly, I have a DV tape type of video for a JVC and it works great, but need a better lighting system for it. Make sure you look for camera light in front of it or you won't get good pictures nice and clear and bight enough.Lastly, not to be an jerk, it is "have no idea" not "have know idea".

Hi,
I shop a lot and to save time and money I use cheapest prices search engine. Almost every merchant is there and over a million consumer written reviews. You will find many other ways that will help you with questions.
You can shop online or you can go to a merchant and use the toll free phone number if you feel more comfortable shopping like that.
There are merchant reviews, over one million product reviews, compare by brand and a lot more. I hope I helped you and I wish you good luck.
