Sony camcorders are excellent in results but they are too branded & very costly so can anyone tell me which is the most cheapest but most effective camcorder in the market today, if u think a camcorder which is excellent & cheapest even though its sony's doesnt matter so plz let me know.

Cheapest can never be most effective.
Samsung and Cannon may be little cheaper but performance wise not comparable to Sony.
If you like to capture video buy Sony DCR HC26 or DCR HC42.

you can buy digital cameras instead of handy-cams you will get both still and video options with great resolutions. you can buy branded items like Sony, Kodak, Canon, Nikon etc. go for min. 5MP cameras, you love it
