could you explain how i would connect my camcorder to my vcr/dvd combo so that i can put my home video on dvd.

If you don't have the three phono plugs on it then you need to get a scart adapter which has the three phono connectors on it yellow, red and black usually - then plug in the cables from the camera to the adapter and then plug the adapter into your scart on the vcr and your done!

The vcr has RCA composite video/audio connections on the back panel, Your camcorder has the same, use a cable to connect the video out to video in and audio out to audio in, Find the line input switch on your vcr remote...your in business

it is possible to connect these components together,but i would make sure the DVD part of your unit is also a recorder, I've been in the market for one but i was told they are no longer available.
i have a DVD/VCR combo also but it is not possible to record to the DVD only to the VCR

If you have an "Audio/video In" on your camera, that's where I'd start. If not, tou would have to refer to the user manuals on both. It's probably not even possible to do it that way. If necessary, a lot of photo printing places will put a video onto a DVD.
