It's completely possible to do this, you'll just have to figure your way out through capture, authoring, and burning - both software and hardware.
You'll need a computer card with analog video inputs (see example in "sources"), and then hook the two up with standard audio/video cables (usually the red-white-yellow ones).

A simpler (though somewhat more expensive) alternative is to buy a standalone DVD recorder (about $150). You hook it up with the same cables, and simply hit 'play' on the camera and 'record' on the DVD deck.

There are 2 techniques, each and each with that is very own income... one million. Take the VHS digital camera on your nearby video production facility. likelihood is they are in a position to pass the analog tape to a digital record and in all likelihood even placed it on DVD for you. 2. purchase a VHS digital tape deck (not A VHS participant) which will hook up on your laptop. those may well be extremely costly, whether it ought to keep you the fee of sending numerous VHS tapes to a video facility. as far as burning the newly digitized record to DVD, there are a number of decrease priced DVD utility products out like Sony DVD Architect, Roxio DVD, Nero DVD, and Adobe Encore DVD. wish this facilitates!
