I'm a big picture person, but looking into getting a camcorder now. I want to be able to take a picture with my camcorder if something were to happen and I don't have time to grab my camera. I'm familiar with Megapixels, but not to sure what K Pixels are. Is that less than a megapixel? The camcorder I looked at says for Digital Sill Resolution it has 450K pixels. Will that take a good picture and print out clear?

Thanks

1000kpixels = 1 megapixel. In other words, your camcorder you're looking at is .45 megapixels. This is not suitable quality for printing. It's suitable for use on webpages and stuff like that. This would be just under an 800x600 picture.

To tell you the truth, I've never heard of KPixels before. But I'm pretty sure that they would be KiloPixels, especially since an "M" is usually used in the same place as the "K" was. If that's true, then that camcorder would only be able to take a half-MP picture. That is NOT good quality. It will actually be smaller than the size of your computer screen. So, I definitely wouldn't get that model if you want good still picture capability.
