I have a big-screen TV with a large wooden heavy entertainment system around it.
What jacks do I need access to, to hook up a camcorder to a TV set?
I have a couple jacks in front of the set.
My front inputs are: S-VIDEO, VIDEO, and AUDIO_L/R
I don't want to get a camcorder if I have to get behind my big set.
Thanks.

i'm looking at camcorders and a local electronics store has the camcorder at a great price but they only have the display model left. i asked if they would sell it cheaper and they said no. the demo's are kept in a glass case in this store. the store's name is "electronic express" in the nashville area.

I am worried that the quality of the video will not be good.

I got it for $160. and plan to take it to eastern europe. I want to make documentaries to place on the internet as podcasts. But i want to make sure the quality is good enough for that. I know that it doesnt have the best rating for quality of videos, but I also know that when you view the video onine, it often doesnt have the best quality either.

Would you recommend this cam or take it back?

Here is a link that shows the camera :

Note I paid $160 for it on black friday.

Thank you for your input! :)

Where is the best place to buy one?
I know this is a lot of questions but I need to know what is the best before I buy.

What do you think of it ?

its model No PV-GS39P-S

here is a link that shows it. I also got it for this price.

I am debating keeping it or returning it. I want to take it with me on my trip to europe, so i need something very small so that i can videotape without giving to much of a scene and something that can fit in my pack.

That said i want something that takes good video. I am not sure if this will or not.

your opinions are appreciated.

I know a bit about computers but not much about video cameras

Thanks again

I need a camera that I can use to make movies, with, and then send them to my computer via USB. What kind of cameras can I get and in what price range? I want something REALLY high quality.
I have a good bit of experience using a camera, so I don't care how awkward it is to use to film, but I want something that I can use to easily send footage to my computer...

What is the best DV camera, preferably mini, because they are cheaper. I know Cannon and Panasonic are good, but what specific one is good for making movies. I want a price preferably in the $100-200s. And what is the best cable to use to put the video on a Dell. Thanks.

With a $650, more or less, budget, which would be the camcorder, with the better quality, I mean more mega pixels, which would have one of the, or the best storage device (which I don't know either which would be), battery life, etc.
There is a world of camcorders out there, thats why I would love some suggestions....
Anyone?
Thanx

Recording straight to a DVD sounds like a good option, but what about hard drive recorders or even the more basic formats? I just need to point it and record and then easily edit it (on my PC) & watch it on my telly!!

I am currently looking to purchase a camcorder and need a little help. I will be using it indoors, sometimes low lighting, outdoors, and pretty much almost everywhere. I am looking to spend under 1000 dollars. I won't be doing an extreme amount of video editing, but i will be doing some. Any answer is much appreciated.

Which of these camcorders is the best? Or are the alternative cameras in the same budget range that are better?

Basically I want to spend around £150 on a decent DV camcorder.

I would like it to have as many features as possible, allow expansion(i.e. external mic, filters, lenses), be fairly easy to use, but also powerfull, fairly compact / lightweight, have a good night shot mode and/or be good in low light conditions. Thats all!
