What is the best DV camera, preferably mini, because they are cheaper. I know Cannon and Panasonic are good, but what specific one is good for making movies. I want a price preferably in the $100-200s. And what is the best cable to use to put the video on a Dell. Thanks.

Here's a list of the top camcorders for 2006:

The Canon ZR400 is the top pick for the under $300 range...and if you search around, you should be able to find it for under $250.

The best cable to use is a firewire cable - you may need to add a firewire port to you PC.

Hi,
I shop a lot and to save time and money I use cheapest prices search engine. Almost every merchant is there and over a million consumer written reviews. You will find many other ways that will help you with questions.
You can shop online or you can go to a merchant and use the toll free phone number if you feel more comfortable shopping like that.
There are merchant reviews, product reviews, compare by brand and a lot more. I hope I helped you and I wish you good luck.

$100-$200?
LOL!!!! You want something good? Not a chance... Not in that price range, unless you mean something good for ten years ago...
Sorry... Anyway, to put it on a dell you should use a USB cord, which usually comes with your camera...

You should certainlly not use USB to upload video from your camera. Many cameras have usb functionallity because they let you use the still photo button to take still images. For stills, usb is fine, for video firewire is what you should use.
