Alright. I have a Digital Video Camera (mini DV). I want to transfer video to my PC. I know I can use Windows Movie Maker, but I do not have a DV device (but I do have a place to plug one in on my camera). My questions are:

-Where do I get a DV device?
-Is a DV device connectable to my PC? (I think all I have are USB ports)
-If my PC is not compatable with a DV device, can I make it compatable?
-How much does one of these devices cost?

I am just learning to understand all this information, so please speak to me like I'm a child. Assume I don't know anything about what you're saying. Thank you

Tape isn't HD, and neither are DVD's, so is the only way to buy a HD-DVD or Blu-Ray burner? I just want quality like I see when I watch tv shows in HD. Help please!

I can capture photos from the SD picture card in my hitachi DZ=MZ580A DVD Camcorder, but I can't get the video from the dvd mini disc. I have tried re-installing the driver, I've tried plugging into different usb ports. Nothing works, I'm using software the company recommends, nothing detects my device and when it's plugged in it shows up as an F drive a CD drive. You click it and it pops up error F Drive isn't asscessible. I tried just putting the dvd mini disc in the computer and it just reads as a blank cd. I NEED this video so i can put it on regular dvd's what do i need to do to get it?

My friend Curt has become very arrogant stating he is perfect at everything he does. He must have spent weeks shooting videos showing him hitting three-point basketball shots, bowling a score of 300, running the table in pool, even throwing a hail mary pass – running down the field and catches it!!

He even ran into former professional baseball player Wade Boggs at a spring training game & showed HIM these videos. Somehow convinced Wade Boggs to state (on video) "Curt is a Perfect athlete!!!"

He now brings a portable MP3 player everywhere he goes to show anyone who will watch these perfect events. Personally, I think he doctored the video somehow but don’t know how he did it. Even worse, he finishes all his conversations stating, “NOBODY beats Mr. Perfect... NOBODY.”

How did he get all these athletic miracles on tape? – It does not look fake.

How can I change a 130mb .avi video into something smaller then 100mb. My camera's video mode makes .avi videos. I made a 1 minute 7 second video that is 640x480. To upload a video to www.youtube.com the video must be less then ten minutes and less then 100mb. Why is my 1 minute video so huge? How can I make it keep a descent quality and get it under 100Mb. Thanks

Hey Everyone,

I am going ghost hunting this weekend and need to get a camcorder, you know the Most Haunted types lol.

I am very confused though when i want to know what has a good night mode and which doesn't. They keep referring to lux sensitivity. If i want to film in a very dark room with no light or minimal light what lux rating do i go for?

Thank you very much!

I own a Video Production company and I have currently HDV equipment. I was wondering what equipment i would need to get (hardware, software and cameras (film or DV) ) in order to produce High Quality music Videos for my Clients. I am not looking for cheap cameras, I am looking for what works best for both Film and DV. Also any input in procedures, techniques or tutorials are highly appreciated. This is something that I will be providing to future clients.

Thank you in advance,

JC
