I have an older Sony Handycam CCD-TRV98 NTSC (Uses Hi8 tapes if it matters). What will I need to purchase so that I can upload my videos into the computer?

If you don't want to open up your computer to insert a card, there are a number of devices that plug into a USB port on your computer and convert analogue tapes to digital. Have a look at Pinnacle:- http://www.pinnaclesys.com/PublicSite/us/Home/

A PCI capture card from Dazzle or Turtle Beach or the Turtle Beach USB dangle. $125+ including software.

you need to have a video card that has the RCA's or s-video input capabilities. the video card should have the software for doing the video already.
