I uploaded 30minutes of video from my miniDV camcorder, and i want to write it on a DVD but with the best quality thats possible.
The final DVD should be playable on computers and on external dvd-players as well. Thanks for every help!

First off, you'll need a program like nero or encore DVD. Import the video, make your menus and stuff, and then when exporting, select standard quality (4 Mb/s - 6 Mb/s). Yes, higher quality SHOULD give you better results, but they aren't that noticeable and most DVD players will either mess up or not accept higher quality DVDs at all. Also, make sure you are burning on DVD-R discs, as they are the most compatible. Once you click burn, it will automatically convert your .AVI files into mpeg-2 .vobs. Hope this helps!

some million while you're fortunate. this is one factor to easily immediately-up replica 700mb archives onto a 4.7GB DVD, besides the fact that if this is yet another factor to transform it from AVI format to VOB format! The AVI format spits out 700mb movie archives because of the fact of this is greater effective compression ratio. The VOB format is a great hog while it includes length, besides the fact that if this is high quality is a lot greater effective than AVIs.
