How can I change a 130mb .avi video into something smaller then 100mb. My camera's video mode makes .avi videos. I made a 1 minute 7 second video that is 640x480. To upload a video to www.youtube.com the video must be less then ten minutes and less then 100mb. Why is my 1 minute video so huge? How can I make it keep a descent quality and get it under 100Mb. Thanks

Unless you have the programs, no. There are a variety of programs that code the movies at a lower rate and they can get it to where you need, or you can use a movie cutting tool and cut out parts of the movie.

and dont listen to the guy about resizing the picture, you can for youtube, but if you want original size, a small change in the bitrate will get you the mb you want and the same dimensions.

Full SD video is 4 MB per second.

The only thing you can do is convert it to another format, such as MOV (Apple Quick Time), WMF (Window Media) or RA (Real Player)

All paid software will do this (Premier, Studio, Vegas) and some free software might.

The quality is going to drop to the same level as all UTube vidoes.

You will need a video editor program. Using it, you would reduce the size of the picture from 640x480 to something like 320x240. Re-save the file and it will be smaller.
