Every DVD I have ever watched, on ALL players, has a slight 1-2 second pause, usually in the middle of the movie. No scenes or parts of the movie are skipped. Every DVD, regardless of player, does this. Does anyone know the correct reason why? I figured it is that the laser has to move to a new sector on the disk that is farther away than other previous sectors.

Well i work at circuit city and right now im a merch ( basically just games, music, dvds, stereos) and i wanna move up to tech which is computers, cameras and mp3 players.. i have pretty good knowledge on them but i wanna know more about them. Is there a site i can go to with more info or somewhere where i can read and learn more about computers, cameras, and mp3 players?

I would like to set-up my receiver and assorted audio equipment in a tiny hallway closet. From there I could run speaker wires up and through the attic, placing speakers in the ceilings in various rooms. Is this recommended?

I own Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H2. When viewing shots I just taken and using theT(telephoto) on camer as opposed to W(wide)it shows the shot starting at X1.1, then X1.2., X1.3, X1.5, X2.0 up to X5.0 Can't find in manual what this signifies. If most digital cameras have this, can I correlate one of these figures into how well an 8X10 or 11X14 print would come out?

11 hrs ago I asked a quesion about customer support in the Nikon and Canon families. Does anyone have any problems conveying your questions in these two companies, getting the propper answer. I own a Sony, and most times they just don't understand my exact question. In future I'd like to buy either a Nikon or Canon DSLR. Will I have the same problems with their customer support. Are we speaking to somebody from India?

I know in photography you increase the shutter speed so I presume that in video making that it would be a case of increasing the frames per second? Does anybody know a comercially available camera for this kind of work?

My mother is very sick and wanted a cheaper bill. Comcast is always rasing thier prices, so I did some research and found that Dish Network was cheaper than direct tv(24.99 for 10 months). I got her America's top 100 channels, but then saw that some of the channels she has on comcast aren't availble with Dish.(unless you spend more $) But they are with Direct tv.(MSNBC, Court tv, fx,oxygen 39.99 for 12 months + setup fees) )these happen too be channels she watches. Should I canel and change too direct tv? what do you think? do people really lose reception? with dish.
