If you want a second controller for your PS3 but don't want to pay for it, buy a usb gamepad from eBay. I bought one made by a company called Dilong. It is basically an un-official Playstation control with a usb connection made for a computer. It is made exactly the same as the official Playstation control. Well I had a crazy idea a couple of days ago to plug it into my PS3s second usb port and it worked. I used it to play my demo of Ninja Gaiden and had no problems. Of course you can't use it to play any of the games that require the use of the six-axis. I just thought I would pass along this fact. The cost when I bought it about six months ago? $13 which included the shipping.

They are banned in the UK in case of "interfering with sensitive electronic equipment".
But more and more people are thinking that this is propaganda put out by those who run hospital phone lines.
What is your situation? Please.

So what I'm saying is, my DVD player only accepts DVDs from Region 1. However, I want to watch DVDs from another region, 3. Are there any converters or whatsoever out there that could do it? Or do I need to buy a new/region free DVD player?

I bought the Digihome box for my Mum. I didn't have a spare scart lead, and just plugged it into the co-ax cable that came out of the video. When I switched on the electricity a green light came on instead of the red light the instructions said would come on. Nothing happened when I switched on the TV. Do these things normally need to be connected to the TV with a scart as well as the co-ax cable, or should it work with just the co-ax? And do they need to be connected directly to the aerial or is it OK to have them in series with the video. We have a DVD player as well, connected to the TV through the scart, while the video normally goes into the TV through the co-ax socket as the TV has one scart socket. I thought when I switched all the things on, the signal from the set-top box would take over the whole TV just as the DVD player does, and my DVD recorder with integrated Freeview does. The instructions mention nothing about needing a scart lead, or having to tune TV to it. Help?

I have a JBL L8400p sub and also a JBL PB12 sub (both powered) One rated at 600 watts RMS and the PB12 at 250 RMS. Should I use both or one? My room is faily small- 20' long x 12' wide. I have full range towers and center (Polk RTi12's / CSi5), commercial grade carpet and heavy drapes. Any opinion as to the best placement would be? I am using the L8400 right now in the front left corner and the PB12 is just sitting around. Will using two phase each other out?

I just bought a dvd player with built in freeview but when I scn for the stations/channels it doesn't find any. I have a aerial / antenna that get me the 'normal' channels and I thought it was enough.

I have checked and my postcode seem to be covered in the freeview zone.

Do I need a new aerial? Can you recommend anything I should do to find out where the problem is coming from?

Thanks

I know the area code tells you where the number origniates in a general way; (like the entire San Fernando Valley is 818) I was just wondering if the first three numbers after the area code (prefix) break it down even further or is it just random?

A question I gots to know. When you call Nikon support or Canon support, is it difficult making the person on the other end understand exactly what you're asking. I own a Sony camera and from time to time ask thei support something and they come back not understanding what I ask. I have no doubt in future I'll buy a DSLR-either Nikon or Canon, but would like to know of their help. Do they transfer you to somebody from India for example?

I have a motorola w315 and something is wrong with my text messages. Everytime I go to messages the word "Thanks" appears where the inbox, outbox, sent, saved, draft, etc. are suppose to be. And instead of my signature being at the bottom all that shows is "ÿÿÿÿÿÿ". How can I get all of this back to its original form?

While married, my wife signed up for a 2 year contract with Cingular. Before our divorce she extended it another 2 years without my knowledge. (after our divorce, she de-activated her phone so I am the only one on the plan) I was expecting it to expire this July, and was just going to let it terminate, then start a new plan with a competitor. Now I am being told it carries for 2 more years.....

I don't want to be a jerk and have it affect her credit, I just want a new plan with another (any other) provider.

Have you personally terminated a contract like this?
Can you tell me what my rights are, as a consumer?

I did not sign the initial contract, nor have I signed or agreed to any extension.
They don't even mail monthly bills to me, because my name is not on their contract.

Please advise me and not only will you receive 10 points, you will be helping another person regain their sanity.

thank you kind stranger ~

Not surprisingly it doesn't work now. Any hope of fixing it? Or do I just have to chuck it?.
I have dried it and changed batteries and don't know what else to do.

We have one we bought last November in which the motor burned out. I have spoken to several other people who have had to replace their Play Stations a few times already. And forget repairing them, if you can find a person that repairs them it will cost as much or more than a new one would. We will never buy another Playstation. We have tons of games we will be selling. We still have a very old Nintendo 64 that still works great, so we will be on a hunt for more old games for that system,
