I scrapped the face of it on a wall and the screen has a brush type scratch going across it.

If is the external screen, you could use a soft cloth with toothpaste as polisher.
It works on plastic watches.

Try Brasso (used for polishing metal). It's recommended by a lot of iPod owners for taking scratches out of iPod screens.

Start with a little and rub gently. If it seems to work OK, keep at it until the scratch is gone...or mostly gone, if it's deep, it may not come all the way out.

If the picture itself is not damaged, that means the mechanics of the phone are not damaged. The screen can be fixed if this is the case. Try that sctatch remover for glasses that's always advertised on tv, or something similar.

Really, there is no fix.
You either have to get a new phone, or just deal with it
because
it is probably a scratch deeper than the monitor.
