Consumer Electronics - 11 September 2006

I'm looking for a decent camcorder preferebly under $100.I would go up a little higher, but not to much. It would be my first one, and I'm not to technical and I need all the help I can get. I don't understand any of the reviews I'm reading at all! I have a 7 month old and I want to start recording all his "firsts". I don't need anything amazing. Just something good that really works. All you techies out there-can you help?

i have a SHARP model # 3T-57 that was manufactured August 1978 in Tochigi, Japan
it is a tv/radio & digital clock ac120v 60Hz 12w

the sound for the radio and tv are fine i just can't get a picture

the thing is so nostalgic that i would like to have it repaired and if it could get the parts myself it may not take as long to get it back

example I called Comcast to get the 99.00 special of internet phone, digital cable, and internet for 99.00. They told me that I was not capable of getting it because I was and existing customer! But I could get it for 150.00. I have never had the internet or the internet phone, so why dont they give me that for 33.00 each, and regular price for the basic cable. If I had my choice i would get DSL, and dish services but its hard when you live in an apartment. I am just curios to see how many out there have been told the same thing.

I want to get my boyfriend the Madden 07 game for playstation 2... I know nothing about Madden, and when I looked online there was Madden 07 and Madden 07 Hall of Fame. Is the Hall of Fame Edition better, or is it the same game with just a few added materials? Guys, need your opinion!

i want to connect 2 televisions with 2 cables as i can watch it in another room i also have a splitter do i connect the splitter onto the 2 cables or push the two cables together and put the splitter into back of tv

I've already tried Scratch repair products. I think what happened
was when I stored DVDs in memorex plastic storage sleeves, the disk reacted chemically on the read surface. As a result it liquified and looks like syruppy gunkky splotches on the disk that won't wash away. Should I get a resurfacing spray? therefore hopefully creating a more transparent
surface. The Allera product creates swirls due to the buff and polish method, and if examined closely you can see radial scratches, i am therefore reluctant to use that method too often and I've had somewhat marginal sucess with this product.

I have a point and shoot digital camera and ready to step up to a digital SLR. Now that the 400 (eos xti has come out) the 350 has seen a nice price drop to ~$600.

Do you think the extra features are worth the extra $200?

Or is that extra $200 best spent on lenses?

Neighbour has been filming me with CCTV. Recently during a phone call I lost the person I was speaking to but was able to listen to a phonecall my downstairs neighbour was making. In the past I've thought he had a listening device in my flat as he can often quote my conversations to other neighbours. Can his CCTV be monitoring and/or recording my phonecalls.
