change a DVD player from only playing Region 1 DVD's (or whaterver they are here in the U.S.) to an all region DVD player? If possible, please tell me how. Thanks :)

If your DVD player is a commerical player you
can usually find a code that makes it "region-free".
There are several web sites that can help you point the way.
You can try this site for example;

Good luck

Is that a PC DVD Player or a consumer electronics DVD player?
If it's a PC, you just have to download the right software.
If it's a CE piece of hardware, you just have to buy the right one. Once you bought one that can play only one region it is difficult and expensive to change it (altough there can be exceptions).
