AAA and AA rechageables are only 1.2 volts. AAA and AA non rechargeables are 1.5 volts altho both are exactly the same physical size and both share the same size designators (AAA or AA) - WHY? My Pentax Optio S40 suddenly will not work with the 1.2 volt rechageables altho they have performed well for 1000's of pix.- it works fine with plain old non rechargeable Duracell 1.5 volt batteries - WHY? Do they manufacture single 1.5 volt AA and AAA rechargeable batteries other than the CR-V3 which has two 1.5 volt AA's? If so, where can they be purchased?

Recently my father gave me a very large box of camera stuff. He would like me to list it on e-bay and split the profit. However, I have never heard of some of the lenses in the box. I have searched on the internet for the past couple of days and found limited info on them. The names are: Staeble-Telon 1:5,6/85 and Staeble-Choro 1:3,5/38.
Should I take them to my local camera shop? What do you call a person who collects cameras? Are there any online chat places for camera collectors?
Any help would greatly be appreciated!

I set my VCR to tape 3 programs in a day. It only tapes the first one, then shuts off. It's a year old. I haven't had this problem the whole time.

i hear there is a difference in the types of signal splitters on the market , does anyone know which is best, im currently using a 3 way slpitter that is gold plated from radio shack, how ever 2 of my tvs has snowy reception, 1 tv works fine and my computer works fine also(these were connected by the cable guy), so i just need to know how to get optimal reception on the other 2 tvs, i also would like to know if the cable wires make any difference (type, brand, price, etc) mine are pretty cheap, i would appreciate any help and suggestions, thanks

OK, so, I if I upgrade my Direct TV reciever to an HD reiever, and I use the HDMI cable to hook it up directly to my 50 inch plasma HDTV,

Does the picture quality on every channel become really good? or is it just the HD channels that will only catch the high quality picture?

I'm thinking of upgrading so I can use the HDMI cable, but I'm wondering if even MTV or ESPN channels will better picture quality as supposed to using a s-video cable with a regular reciever??

I have become interested in learning to take and edit digital pictures but need a monitor that will help me acheive the best results and display the truest colors. When editing now I often get completely different results from a print than what was displayed on my monitor. I've been on amazon for a while trying to hunt down the best player for me based on this criteria

Between £100-£130
not an ipod
between 4-10gb of memory
video + photo would be nice but not a necessity
either no software or damn easy to use sofware
nice menu scrolling thing that I won't yell at

I've whittled it down to the three in the question as my best finds so far. Please tell me of any good/bad experiences with any of these players or if you know of any better players than these ones
