I overheard somebody say that Leopard is really just a different Linux version? I thought it was its own OS? Maybe the person said there is a Linux version that is like Leopard? does anybody know?

i'm having a problem finding a formula that will work for my situation. i work in construction, and we have these ordering forms we fill out for our big jobs.

everything has an item name, item number and measurement. there are 12 item names, each with around 10 item numbers and 8 item measurements. i want to be able to fill in a name, number and measurment in each cell and have it sum to a set price.

for example:

S125 + 162 + 25GA = $100
S125 + 250 + 25GA = $200
S162 + 800 + 18GA = $600

is there any way to do this?? i don't mind at all entering in all of the different combinations and prices on a seperate spreadsheet for it to link to... i just want my guys to be able to enter the measurements into the form and have the price fill in without them having to look it up.

I have this computer game and it worked fine when I got it and then I didnt play for awhile and when i came back to it it doesnt work. So I will be playing it normally and then the controls dont work quickly and the screen goes really slow so I have know clue what I am doing. Then after a bit of doing it it will go back to normal. I asked my friend who has the game game if it did it too and it didnt. It isnt in a particular spot. I see some scratches but nothing major. Why is it doing this?

I opened a ms publisher file that was attached to my yahoo mail. I made some changes to the file, pressing the "Save" button as I went along. I closed the file, only to realize that I did not know where the file saved to. Can anybody help me? Where did it go? Does Yahoo have it? It was a huge project for my job, which was due today.

Ok so I am orginally from England but now live in the USA.My parents are still in England but since i came out here I have had 2 babies,my parents only grand children & my dad and I have tried several programs.We have tried eyeball, yahoo, msn & a few others.So far MSN is one of the better ones for full screen & pretty much real time.I was wondering if anyone had anymore suggestions though either free or paid for.We need something with the following:
As close to real time as possible as they watch my babies who are pretty active.
Has full screen capabilities so I can switch the pc to show on the TV and my babies can interact with my parents.
The possibility of having multiple cameras,or at least running multiple conferences (we have 3 pcs here currently) so that I can postion cameras in several areas of my house so my parents can watch my babies as they run around.
It breaks my heart to see my parents miss their grand children growing up so anything to make it easier for them.

I've bought a notebook with Vista Home Basic pre-installed. But it works horrible. I decided to stop the agony and install cracked XP. At this moment I am a click away from deleting C: partition (with legal Vista Home basic), and accidentally came to know that Microsoft offers free downgrade, keeping the system valid - but only for Premium and Ultimate editions.
IS THERE ANY HOPE for acquiring legal Windows XP by using Vista Home Basic? At least XP home...

I have tried de-selecting welcome screen but I still have to type password but in a different kind of screen. There is no option to delete the user account either. I am the only one who uses the computer and it is secure.

ok, so i'm trying to type a paper, but every time i go back to add something, instead of the words scooting over, they're being erased by what i'm typing, or any spaces that i've put in...

for instance:

original: i help
what i WANT: i need help
what happens: i need

see what i mean? it doesn't push the word "help" over... it erases it. how do i set it so that it just pushes the word help over, and won't erase it?

Okay, so I really need to buy a new laptop, but the problem is all laptops for sale now come with Vista default installed. Now my question is, if I buy a new laptop but change the os to xp, will it harm the computer in any way or cause potential problems in the future? Because I know new hardware is designed for running new software, so I'm afraid if I try and install an older os it may cause problems.

Um, every time i insert my fujji film music CD to burn it on windows media player it doesn't. Ill click burn on the side, and it will open up the drive. And then ask me to insert a new disk. But this disk hasnt ever been used before. Any ideas??
