When i started to type things a P thing randomly appeared every time i finished a paragraph and i don't know how to get rid of it!! and every time i hit the space button instead of space i got a dot in between. Does anyone know how to get rid of this?

You can go to the tools, options, menu

And look under the Formatting Marks area. Uncheck show Paragraph Marks.

The P thing is an unprintable symbol for paragraph, (a code used by Word to indicate a paragraph after a (hard) carriage return/new line (hitting enter after a period (sentence).

You can get RID of it by finding the proper command in your drop-down menus, look for the (show P (paragraph) symbol), and uncheck it.

The dot (in mid line) represent a space, get RID of it at the same time you get RID of the P symbol).

On one of the toolbars up top it looks like a backwards P press it to turn the paragraph marks off

You have accidentally pressed the reveal button on the toolbar (3rd from right). It's a useful tool for checking when alignment/spacing in a doc seems to have fallen apart.

Yeah, Michael's right. That's an invisible character so it won't show when you print anyway.
