XP Pro SP2

I get a free copy of Vista from school, and I want to try it out. My setup would be to have both XP and Vista in the same hard-drive. However, I hear Vista just plain sucks (Amazon.com reviews). Is it even worth it or should I keep my hard-drive clean and keep XP only?

Is it true that you have to pay an annual fee to be able to use your Vista or else it disables? Would you consider reverting to XP and earlier versions after your experience?

My limit on buying a movie program is at most $150. And throughout all my research it seems that Sony Vegas Movie Studio and Adobe Premiere Elements are the top two choices, plus they are about the same price. But I'm not sure which one to choose, I'm looking for something where I can make videos that are really personalized. And something that is really eye-popping. What would you recommend?

I want to know if I should use the 32 bit or 64 bit version of Ubuntu and why. Is one faster and more efficient? My computer is an Intel e6600, nvidia 8800 gts 640 overclocked, 4 gb ddr2 800, asus p5n-e sli. I have plenty of disk space as well. Is there anything else I should know about Ubuntu in general? i have an hp pavilion dv6000, vista is saved to the hard drive instead of on a cd. i know how to reload vista so that it clears my entire system, which is what i want to do. but how do i open up the screen to do this? my desktop at home tells me to press a button when its starting up but this laptop does not.

GRRR, i have it ticked in the windows xp firewall exceptions but it still wont connect. Ive tried everything!! yes im connected. I could connect prior to this problem. I have AVG, SpyBot and AdaWare. but i doubt thats the problem....I JUST WANT IT TO FREAKIN CONNECT!!!

Hi there,
The problem i have now is that im running windows xp pro.
And have an Admin account and a guest account.
When i save documents in the Admin one everything works great. But when i save in the guest account nothing happens. I go to File>Save As. and nothing appears neither i can find the doc.
Any ideas?

of course, it's a quicktime shitt, but I'm using iTunes, i mean, i WAS using iTunes, until a quicktime popped out with an error, and everything goes to crap! i tried installing newer versions if itunes, but it's the same problem... and i CAN'T uninstall quicktime, at the end of uninstallation, a window pops out saying a fatal error occured, and rolls back action. it's a pain in the a s s !! please help, tell me what should i do...
