Photoshop 5 is in my price range.
I see that it is up to version 7.
Does it pay to buy Photoshop 5?

why buy when you can have a package just as good for free
download Gimp for windows ( a linux software package)

Photoshop is upto Version 10 = CS3
To answer your question, if version5 has everything you need, dont waste your money. If yuo dont know what yu need, basically if your doing light photo editing, 5 will have everything you need.
Also availabke is Adobe Photoshop Elements which is a cutdown version

it is way past 7. The latest is CS 9.0
You should be able to find 5 for free
