I have this computer game and it worked fine when I got it and then I didnt play for awhile and when i came back to it it doesnt work. So I will be playing it normally and then the controls dont work quickly and the screen goes really slow so I have know clue what I am doing. Then after a bit of doing it it will go back to normal. I asked my friend who has the game game if it did it too and it didnt. It isnt in a particular spot. I see some scratches but nothing major. Why is it doing this?

You know what I think, honestly, I would think its more of a hardware problem then anything else. But since it was fine when you first get it. I probably can be something to do with spyware and other stuff that slow down your computer.

I'd suggest that you try and clean the disc off and see if it works then.
If that doesn't work, then possibly trying a System Restore to a time when it did work without lagging on you, would be helpful.
If that didn't work, then perhaps you could uninstall the program and then reinstall it and see if it then works.
Also, if you have a lot of RAM hogging applications running at the same time that the game is, that may also contribute to the lagging on the game, however, I'm not sure about that.

Probably your computer can't handle it anymore or you computer needs to go through defragmentation which compresses files to free up space on your hard drive. To access Defragmentation go Start then All Programs then Accessories then System Tools then Defragmentation. Also try deleting some files, and update your video card drivers by going to the video card maker.
