I saved my powerpoint presentation on a flash drive and after I did my presentation and came back to look at my slides at my own computer with the same flash drive (I never saved any work on the hard disk) I found the presentation was older, work that I saved half way through my project.

Is there a way where I can restore it to see the final updated presntation?

The document is locked and it wont let me open it or something like that...dang I hope someone understands lol but yes I cant edit it and I really need it!

I was working on my research project which was four pages long. I was typing and saving both on my computer and usb.. but then suddenly it said I could not save on my usb and an error message came up... so then i tried to save in my computer but it said the same thing. thennn it said it was going to save it on its own, when an error occurs it usually saves it, so supposibly it did. So then i turned off my computer and turned it back on... I checked the one i saved, or the one it saved, and the document was filled with squars all over mixed with some of my typing! and then i checked my usb but IT WAS NOT EVEN THERE! please tell me if there is a way i could restore my document!!!!, or why this happened or if i could trust my computer again....

When I go to customize desktop in the display properties the only available desktop icons are: "My Documents," "My Computer," and "My Network Places." Where is Internet Explorer? (I can't add the icon through the tools option in IE either).

I have Windows XP and have IE 6.0 (I don't really use it as I like Mozilla but it's important once in awhile...)

My computer's been redone in the past few days. On the previous reimage the IE option was there.

The updates it installs totally wreck things that require a separate connection from the internet like instant messengers. Not only that, but I can't get movie players like Veoh or DivX to function, nor can Firefox or any of my antivirus software work. - sigh - I'm fed up, yet I've only had my laptop since April.

A) Is it possible to restore my computer back to it's original format [when you first purchase it, to make it without any of MY installed programs]
B) If I spoke to a representative at Dell or Windows, what will they offer me ?
C) Are you having the same problems ?

they are not on my limewire playlist or itunes. have no idea what happened. didnt accidentially delete them or anything like that.

I was desperate for a solution,so I bought this program. I don't know if I got fooled or what. The main problem I wanted it to fix was the "IE Script Error" that I keep getting on my Outlook Express. It says everything is fixed and that there are no "bugs", but I am still having problems. If anyone has heard of this program or has actually used it, I would like to have your input. Thank You in advance !!!!!!

I have created a powerpoint presentation in which I have inserted my own sound file clips. In the custom animation menu I found the location is C:\...\desktop\presentation...etc. I don't want this to be my location as I am uploading this folder to my web server and don't want the location to be my C: drive. I don't see where to edit this??

im having problems with the music on my PowerPoint presentation.
i finally finished the whole thing and it works fine on my comp but when i put it on a flash drive (thats how i need 2 deliver it to my class) the windows media player can't find the song.....so, i thought "oh i need to save the songs on the flash drive and then insert them into the PowerPoint like that so it knows where the file is saved" but the same problem....
i know that there is probably a blindly easy solution to this but i cant see what it is...any help is appreciated! TY! :)

(oh and the songs are: 1 from limewire that i dragged from the desktop and 2 from itunes that i dragged and dropped..they r mp3 format i think..)

im diong a project for a class and i have that date in the cells but i cant figure out how to delete the blank ones, there are 2300 with 466 scattered blank ones so is there a way i can do it besides manually?

My question is very simple. What are some shortcuts for a normal windows computer? I don't have windows xp or a macc just windows. I don't care if u copy and paste i just wnat some shortcuts to make my computer playin life easier. For example what r the shorcuts for copy paste and delete the window ur on. But don't just give me those i wan't more than that.

I have a spreadsheet with about 8,000 row and in each row there are 25 columns of data the first 5 columns i need in the columnar form the last 20 in need listed in a 6th column. so i wrote a macro and it works but only for the first row i used to write it with. How can i get it to move on to the second row or the 22nd row (because i have the first row then append 20 rows of columnar data which gives me 21 so the next row that needs reformatting is 22) and preform the same reformatiing?

My computer is getting advertisements of solely audio. I do not get a pop up window or anything. Just randomly, advertisements for like that Tila Tequilla show start playing through my speakers.... Or just random songs that I've never heard before start playing. Does anyone have any idea what this is, and what I do to delete it? I've gone to Add/remove programs, but there is nothing unfamiliar to me in ther that could be causing this. Please help!

I have a programme which requires me to enter a list from my doccuments and asks for the path name. I go to my doccuments right click on the folder go into properties and copy the c:\ thingy. When I paste into the programme it tells me
runtime error 75 file/pathname error. (Or error 56)
These are lists that I have downloaded myself and stored in my doccuments. Now is there somewhere on my pc where I can find the exact path to a folder? I'm using windows xp.

ps. this will be the fourth time I've asked this question and people still give me the answer I don't want.
I have done c:\programme files etc, it doesn't work.
