How do you unlock a document in Microsoft Word. My Final is Locked and I can't open it!!!?

The document is locked and it wont let me open it or something like that...dang I hope someone understands lol but yes I cant edit it and I really need it!

can you click tools then unprotect?

if you need it fast.
then highlight the whole thing.
copy it.
open up a new word.
paste it.
then work with that.
