Software - October 2007

When i burn some DVDs there fine, last night i burned a dvd it was an Xvid file.

When i was wacthing it the picture would flicker, freeze, and then just stop what is the problem here???

Do you need to use DVD+R etc or something else i'am currently using DVD-R or is it a certain file like Xvid, AVI because there the two files that most of my downloads are.

Please Help Because Nero keeps the great picture quality unlike other DVDs Burners.

I am very desperate for help. All of a sudden for no reason Flash Player quit working under IE. The one under Firefox is OK. When I am at my main Yahoo screen and select play video it says that Flash Player is not installed. It tries to install it three time and fails. I have looked at what other people have tried and nothing seems to work. I have down loaded both the programs to remove Flash Player and downloaded the program to allow me to install Flash player from my desk top without IE being up. When I run the clean program it worked fine. I even made sure all the directories and files were gone. I then booted the PC to make sure the programs were not in memory. I checked Install/Remove and it was not there. I then installed Flash Player using the file I down loaded. I checked and the files were there and everything looked great. I go in to Yahoo again and it sill says Flash player is not installed. I have worked on this for two days and I have tried everything I can of.
Could someone please help?

I downloaded this book and transfered it to MS WORD. The thing is that is using just a part of the page, justified left. I've tried selecting all of it and then justified to ocuppy the whole page. I've gone to the format part and reset and then try to but nothing. I can do it manually, sentence by sentence but it is a 90 page text. What can I do?

Picture this. Blank worksheet. In cell A1 I have the text "Chicken". In column D i have a large list of foods (Fruit, Eggs, Veggies, Salad, Chicken ect.).

My question is: what fuction can I place in cell B1 that tells me if A1 "chicken" is in the list/array/range found in column D?

I has to return either the text "chicken" or True/False. Thank you very much.

..it doesnt cause me any problems,but when i close it it says corrupt file in a bubble on the toolbar...will it cause any problems soon?

I have windows xp home edition. The brightness bar is constantly showing when I turn on the computer, and it won't go away for long. Like I tried pressing the button with an [X] on it and it makes the brightness bar go away as long as I keep on pressing it, when I dont eventually it will come back. I tried lowering the brightness as an experiment and it is really hard to lower, and when it does, after I stop pressing that button it slowly makes it go back to 100. When I turn off the power button on the monitor it goes away for a few seconds. Sometimes it just goes away on its own for a while, but then comes back. It is really annoying since it is in the middle of screen. I also tried the auto adjust button but with no luck. Please help.

at school, we have microsoft 2007. i wrote an essay, and saved it to a usb memory port thing. i took it home, and tried to open the document (only to read it) but nothing happens... my friend converted it but shes on holiday at the moment... how can i open my document saved as microsoft 2007 into microsoft 2000?

i uninstalled some programs then i used system restore..

I am making a number of figures for publication in powerpoint and want to save the files as PNG at a resolution of 300 dpi, however the default is set for 150 dpi and I cannot figure out how to change the setting. I am using the 2003 version of powerpoint. I would really appreciate your help!!!
