You can try it again.
You might want to try System Mechanic software otherwise if it uninstalled but still in the Add/Remove list then the chance are you remove about 99% of it.

You can install Ccleaner (freeware) which allows you to remove duplicate entries.
OR
Such problem happens if the uninstallation is not properly done or the corresponding uninstaller is not capable of removing the corresponding entries properly,i.e. defective.
Resolution:-
Start>Run>Regedit>Ok.
Now navigate to the following key:-
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Uninstall
Now find the orphaned or, invalid software entry from the list and delete it.Close the registry editor.

these files are stored under the registry.
You could delete the registry keys that relate to the software, but if you don't know how to, or have never been in your registry before, your best bet would be to download some Registry Cleaning software.
I haven't personally used these before, but i have heard that some people find the following programs successful.
Registry Mechanic - http://www.pctools.com/registry-mechanic/
I just googled for "Registry cleaner", and found the following result http://www.abexo.com/registry-cleaner.htm i wouldn't recommend getting that software, unless you can find a trial first etc, you may want to search google yourself, and find software that you find easy and will do what you want.
Good Luck!

Go to www.CCleaner.com and download there cleaner. This will help. The problem you have is that the registry still has the entries for the removed programs. CCleaner should help.
