My question is, how do you burn a dvd? because whenever i burn video files ,that are 20 mins or so long, into DVD-R disc that is either 4.7 gb or 8 gb disc none of my dvd players(all of my dvd players can play all formats) can not read my disc it says its "empty disc" or "can not read disc" and whenever i try to play the dvd onto my computer its usually empty. Whenever i take a look at the disc it looks like nothing has bee burned onto it even though, during the burning process, i can hear my cd/dvd drive burning the video files onto the dvd it still does not work. This has been happening for a long time now and i have been so mad, so can anyone help me out please i have to make a lot of space on my hard drive because it is almost full!!

ps. i used both nero startsmart and Roxio Easy Media Creater 8 to attempt to make the dvds. I dont have Nero so all i have is Roxio

When I try to open a powerpoint or download a template, even if it is for 2003 it keeps opening it into 2007. I have purchased the CD's for 2007 but misplaced them in my house somewhere, so I do not want to remove it.

I replace the "?'s" with "." and select to replace all. This is what it does:

I've succesfully replaced all with letters (e.g., I've tried replacing "g" with "f") and it only replaces the g's with f's, why does it not work properly with punctuation marks (in my case question marks and periods)?
How can I get to to work properly.

Yeesh - this drives me nuts. I just want the email addresses listed in the cells. That's it! Treat it like text and don't go trying to be helpful MS. No hyper linking or other helpful stuff thank you MS.

I put all my data in each cell, now I want to print out the graph as is. Whenever I do print, only the info is printed and none of the cells (lines) appear. Help!

What happens if I never activate windows XP or Vista? does the entire OS lock up and you cant even boot it up no more or it will not start or something, or if i do not activate it I just cant downlaod updates and junk like that, but the OS still works to use?

I have a huge assortment of music in my Real Player library that I occasionally use for PPT presentations. Problem is...I always have to haul my laptop with me to cue up the song to my presentation.

How do I (if I can) embed a song within a presentation? If this is possible, can I then cue the song (once it's embeded) to start at a certain point?

I am not too computer savvy, but I have taught myself a few things here and there.

I am trying to create an Excel template to graph some data I have. The data will be collected every few weeks and then pasted into one worksheet of the workbook. The columns will remain constant, but the # of rows of data will vary. I tried to just select the whole column (for both the x & y data), but then it graphs all of the rows it can fit in a chart, including all the blank rows at the end... Is there a way to say "graph all rows in Columns A&B with values", or select $A:$____. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

i would like to try and get yahoo messenger for mac to work on vista as you are not able to call people that are using different operating systems and skype is of poor quailty lately.. just wondering if there was a patch or something to enable windows to recognise the mac version of the file... but still keep vista as the operating system.. hope i have explained this well enough

I cannot delete the acer travel mate 650 screen saver!!! its so fustrating and the size of it is actually 10GB and it has taken up almost 10% of my whole HDD. when i uninstall it from 'Add or Remove programe' it says [could not find file "swflash.ocx "] but it is actually in the same folder as the tm650 screen saver.
please help me find a say to delete it as i need the space.

I have Openoffice in my computer. Everytime I'm writing, the program stops every 15 minutes to do backup on the document. When the document is finished, can I erase all those backups and leave just the document? Will it affect the document somehow? I'm just trying to clean space in my hard disk.
