Heya, I run windows xp professional, and i do still have a virus on it, i have done and tryed everything. My last result is to format... BUt now i am worried becaise i don't wanna lose the operating system. Please help me, if you could that would be appreciated.



OR anyother solutions i will take to.. LOL Or if i clicked any other drives would i lose it?

i just got a new laptop with window vista home basic. i want to get home premuim. i got this disc called windows anytime upgrade does that mean that home preumim is on there or what?

Hi, I bought Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 Platinum a long while ago and have had a few glitches with it. When ever I open a saved game, I can't because an error pops up! It says, "This file needs the following add-ons: _____". Then, when I clicked on it again, it says "The following file maybe corrupted." How do I fix the problem so I can play my saved game again! (This happens almost every time I save a game!)

i use a LG DVD writer and i cant install any games from CD/DVD, all it says is, autorun.exe is not a valid win32 application or it says that only a part of read/write memory process could be completed. and i even try copying the stuff from the DVD it says cyclic redundancy check error.
i installed cric 07 WC edition and it went all file but i cant run the application cricket.exe it says
it is not a valid win32 application.
what should i do to set this right?
i recently installed vista transformation pack and i had to reinstall xp. i had loads of updated earlier but now i cant even update the OS. further, since i had a problem with my zone alarm, i tried uninstalling it and it said it has been uninstalled and still i have this stupid zone alarm folder and registry values but it never started up at start up even before i uninstalled it.
give me some good solution to this havoc with me PC. thanks for reading such a big lecture.hope i get great and easy answers, give links, easy

I have spreadsheet with receipt dates in column A and dollar amounts of each receipt in column B. I need to total the dollar amounts based on monthly totals from the various receipt dates, so that I know how much was spent each month. How do I construct a formula that will search all of column A for receipts in a particular month and then grab the dollar amounts for those receipts, and present them as a total spent for that month?

I have Microsoft Works on my laptop but when I open Word documents in 'Microsoft Word Processor' they appear funny and all over the place, even when I try to open documents created in Microsoft Word. I would rather not pay £150 to buy Microsoft office in order to be able to see the documents properly. How can I have Microsoft Word on my laptop without having to pay this amount of money. I need to use Microsoft Word in order to create documents for my job.

This is the error message i get but i dont have a disc to fix this problem and would have to rip all my work out of my computer & reboot but really dont want to have to do this so if any one can help...i'd appreciate it...Windows Media Player cannot play the file because there is a problem with your sound device. There might not be a sound device installed on your computer, it might be in use by another program, or it might not be functioning properly.

The error is "run time error 1004" "Application defined or object defined error" It is a SORT macro that sorts a list.. When I click "debug" it highlights this passage in yellow:

I am tired of Picasa coz it does not fulfill all my photo management needs even though i am using the latest version. Is there any better free alternative or Picasa is the best in its class ? Also, if freeware is not an option, is there a better choice photo management shareware ?

When i click on the icon, first the icon twitches a couple times than it shows that small box while loading that shows owner and stuff, but it opens for about 2 seconds and just closes with no warning. It does this repeatedly, scanned it with norton, its not spy ware, and i can't reinstall......one that gives the answer to fix gets the points.

I am looking for an operating system that allows me to do very basic computer functions without all the bells and whistles. I hate being suggested crap all the time, so I want a lean OS, one that uses very little of my processor. I want one that is good for the internet, and doesn't gum up the works.

I used to have Windows Me and I was annoyed to no end. Then I got XP, and I was happy with that for a while. I still have it and everything is all gummed up.

Whatever the problem is, I don't care because I am in the market to rebuild a new computer from scratch and I really don't like the Vista system because I understand that it uses up all your processor and memory power. Is MS coming out with a better one? Should I stick with XP?

I've got a movie file I pulled off of a website. It's in the "File" format and I can't find anything that would convert it to a movie file format.

I don't want to pay for any thing. I just want to clean off the computer so it would be just like i bought it. I don't want to use the system restore because that doesn't work. I don't have the vista CD to re format itand i do not want to buy one. There must be a solution to this... don't say there isn't. I just want a way. I want the computer to still have windows vista though... don't get me wrong. I can't access the internet with the laptop. And theres a poblem, it keeps says the internetexplorer is gone bad and restarts it and i can't go to my computer because it keeps restarting every 10 seconds, but it stays on! SAFE mode won't work because it the same thing...
Please help!!!

i got a movie at 2gb, and i opened it and it has these files mvs-simpss.part01 and those rar files goes all the way down to 62, and when i try to extract, it says the archive is unknown or demaged, but people commented ton the file and said it worked perfectly, so any help on how i can get it to work or extract, any program suggestions, etc:, anything will help!!!!!
