I've got a movie file I pulled off of a website. It's in the "File" format and I can't find anything that would convert it to a movie file format.

Any help would greatly be appreciated

Thanks..

Not FLV, Not movie file. I can play it using VLC player, but it's definitely in the "File" Format.

I checked the properties of the file.

go to the above site, upload your file, choose the format you want, and that it, they convert the file for you email you when it's ready. they send a link to your email where you can download your new file in it's new format ...and it's all free..

Well the file you have mentioned should have a video format, like avi, mpeg, flv etc. If it is already in any of these formats then you can use any of the converters on line to get in converted to the desired format. Else check your source for a save as option which will enable to save it in a prescribed supported format.

Can provide more accurate info with more details.

It's probably FLV -- Adobe Flash Player. Google for "Flash Player FLV and try playing it with one of those players.

I've never heard of the "file" format, but start renaming it with the standard video format extensions and see if it works (.avi, .wmv, .mpg, .mpeg, etc)
