I'm using Nero to burn a DVD for my friend, but it says i'm using the wrong kind of blank CD. What kind do I need?

I used to have Lime wire on my pc and i had to get it wiped at a pc store . Im just wondering whever lime wire was the cause of this or something else i done on it.

first things first ......... am not a techie . so please , all you good souls out there , help is needed .

let me explain ... one of my cousins came with a little gadget in his hand , it was a kind of rectangle shaped thing , he put that inside my USB socket in the front and loaded a couple of movies into that thing from my comp .

Now that after i've personally given my cousin a warm send off and he is way beyond my reach , i find that I CANT ACCESS ANY OF THE DRIVES ( i've 4 drives c: d: e: f: ) When i right click on them i find " ??(o) ????xo " instesd of the regular open you get . My browser's workin fine though .

hope i made myself clear . what do i do .

Hey, well I don't have cable channels on my TV so I was wondering if anyone knows a software where I can watch cable channels on my PC through an internet connection ( I have Broadband)

e.g MTV, Cartoon Network, ABC ect.

I don't want them to have any one-time payments for installation or monthy payments or anything I just want it to be completely FREE.
I don't mind downloading it , if any of you know the answer please write it down, thanks xxx

Okay I need a computer for school, and I've sized down my choices, and now I just need to choose from either a Fujitsu tablet computer or a Mac Book.

Our school needs Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint Access & Publisher, which I heard I can get for free from Open Office for Macs, so that is not the problem. Plus, I've also heard that I can get Vista on my Mac, so no problem either.

The laptop is for, mainly school work, which is like, typing up documents, doing projects and stuff, etc. Oh, and I also take lots of pictures so I want a computer that really detects my stuff quickly. High speed... and stuff. Our school lets us bring our laptops into class as well so I want something light enough, and you know, quick, because note taking would be done there, and if I have to wait for like, say, 1 minute for Word to load, I would've missed out lots already. Yep.

So I would like to hear your suggestions on which one to get - Fujitsu T4220 or a Mac Book.

My PC usually freezes and then the screen goes black. I have to switch it on and off many times to go to Windows. When I switch it on after it has crushed e continuous beep sound is coming out of my computer. When I think there is no problem suddenly it freezes and after a while a diagonal pattern is displayed on the screen (copying a particular area of the screen many many times) or other strange shapes apear on the screen. Finally , sometimes things are displayed twice in a strange way (with lines) and it's hard to see what's happening. What should I do???

P.S.: I have checked my antivirus software and there are no viruses found.

Please HELP!

I need help!
1. CPU was restarting by itself (even if it was just sitting and on but not being used).
2. I re-loaded my "windows xp-pro"
3. It said windows could not load the Installer for WPD (what is wpd).
4. I was trying to type question to you (what is wpd?) but CPU went to blue screen and said
"Shut down to prevent damage to computer"
"Beginning dump of physical memory" (what does that mean?)at which time I could not get out of the blue screen and it had a count (up) to almost 90 and then CPU shut down.

I had to restart and am now typing this question.

I know nothing about computers so PLEASE be basic.

i used this scan to scan my computer last night. it found quite a lot of spyware or something. so i chose to remove all the infected files. here comes the problem
after i removed all the files, i can't do anything. media player didn't work. firefox didn't work. whatever program i tried to open, it said the whatever program.exe not found or the link is removed or somthing like that. i tried restore my computer. didn't work. almost anything i do, something .exe not found came up. same thing happened in safe mode. it's windows 2000. what do i do? if i install windows 2000 again, would my data lost?

I got a problem with my PC. its a Wnidows XP and its bout a year old. i got some much stuff on it that it only has like 2.5 GB left on the hard drive. but i also have quite a lot of spyware/adware in my system. its startin to effective my computer cause runs slower after bout a few hours and now my limwire starts running without me clickkin on anything! wat do i need to do to fix this problem? re-install limewire? system restore?(i never used system restore b4 so i guess its ok to use it..but is it goin to get rid of the spyware?) and if i have to download something, where can i downolad FREE spyware cleaning programs where its get rid of them for FREE???
