No! Don't take it to the computer guy. Download AVG which is a free anti-virus. I have used it for 9 years and have NEVER had a virus and I've been on the Internet constantly. Here you go:
http://www.download.com/AVG-Anti-Virus-Free-Edition/3000-2239_4-10320142.html

It updates automatically when you're on-line and if you ever run across a virus, a huge screen pops up and you can have it heal it for you. Let me know when you get done scanning your PC. It'll take care of it.

Download this too. It will fix errors in your registry, clean up your hard drive, etc. you'll love it. I've received best answers for suggesting both of these programs. I spend a lot of times answering questions in computers/Internet category here.

You would either have to have an anti-virus program or you would have to take it to a computer guy if you don't have much experience with fixing computers. If you have something like Norton Anti-Virus or McAfee Anti-Virus, then this program should be able to help you get rid of your infections. You should open up the program you have (if you have it) and find the option to run a full hard drive scan. It should find the infections after about 30 minutes to an hour. Follow the directions and you should be able to figure out how to delete the infections.

If you don't have a program that can get rid of viruses, you should probably take the computer to a computer technician (such as a Geek Squad member) and have them fix the computer for you.

if your computer is badly infected i suggest u save vital information on a memory stick and providing you have the operating software disc re install the os its not that hard and its not worth paying a guy to do it. Just insert the disc when you reboot your pc the disc will guide u through and it will remove everything off ur hard drive, but your computer will be as fast as the day u bought it, and it will run so smoth alot of people do this even when they havent got any virus's

Well, what you need is a virus scanner or whatever they're called.

I recommend Norton AntiVirus. I use it all the time and my computer is always protected.

The software is a bit pricy, but if you get a copy off of ebay you might get it for tons cheaper.

After you quarantine and get rid of your virus', make sure that when you download something you don't download something bad like a virus. Be careful.
