i have just bought this computer the operating system is microsoft xp professional, but i cannot find microsoft word anywere does anyone know were i can find it or is it possible that the computher doesnt have this programme? but i asume that it will come with it as standard!

...and for it to allow u to upload a large file of maybe 1gb...currently i use gspace but it limits u to only upload files of 10mb (or something like that..cant remember exactly)

When I play these jaggies (jagged polygonal glitches) come out of the ground or, pretty much anything and its literally impossible to do anything important on thisgame anymore. I have 1024 mb of ram and a 160 gig hard drive.

Would anyone here happen to know how to use the german version of Excel? If by any chance there is someone who does....then my question is, whats the german term for "POWER" function in Excel.

I know for example that if you want to find the square of 5, you type 5^2 and then use the funtion called "QUADRATSUMME" in the german program to find the solution.

But what are the functions for "POWER", "SQRT" and finding the cube root called in german?

And i already tried "WÜRZEL" in german for "SQRT" (i.e. squareroot) but it didnt work...what am i doing wrong?

When I try to defragment my HDD to try and speed up my laptop, i get the message :

Disk Defragmenter has detected that Chkdsk is scheduled to run on the volume: System (C:)

Please run Chkdsk /f.

What does this mean? Its never happened before!

I have tried to install XP in my new hard disk but I allways get the
message that the file \i386\ntkrnlmp.exe can't be loaded. I have not
the faintest idea of what is it due to, since I have tested all my
hardware, even the RAM modules, in another computer and they work just
fine.

Maybe the problem is in the mainboard? This is an INTEL ROCK LAGE PERL

In my second hard disk I had XP (and well, I hope it is still there)
but now it doesn't boot, and when I try to format this HD I get the
same error message: the file \i386\ntkrnlmp.exe can't be loaded error 7...

Any clue?

I want to write anything such as Vishal (my name) , or anything say Website. But i want this first to be viewed in all the fonts which i have installed and then i want to select 1 font from them? how can u do it automatically.? Right now i have to do it manually by selecting each font.. I want this to be done automatically? is there any software available?

Yes, i don't know how or why but my photoshop 8 ( cs2 ) font color is stuck on gray! Every time i try to change it to another color (say...yellow, or ANY other color) it changes to simply a lighter gray!

How do i fix this?

How do I protect a file from being formated like for example I need to format my computer but I have a very important file and I do not have a Storage Device or Internet Connection and I do not want the file to be deleted during the formatting. Is there any way I can prevent the file from being formatted?

I ran setup of win98 on my pc again after it started showing bugs from a start-up disk.the hard-disk is a fat-32 and plenty of space.but bcoz the startup disk files and the existing-os files have the same timestamp mayb it didnt work.when the pc runs in safe-node win-explorer,cntrl-panel n other studd works but internet connection gets disabled. How do i get 2 run my pc under normal mode with all-features working. Also which cd-rom drive should i go for or shuld i go for a cd-r/w drive and what brand. give me the cheapest n best. I have been told that i need to reboot my computer and get rid of everything (dont ask why). So I have been told that there are websites that will save your file (music, pictures etc). I have already used photobucket.com for my pictures , but now i need a website for my music. ANY ideas??
