Help! My photoshop font color is stuck on GRAY!?

Yes, i don't know how or why but my photoshop 8 ( cs2 ) font color is stuck on gray! Every time i try to change it to another color (say...yellow, or ANY other color) it changes to simply a lighter gray!

How do i fix this?

i think you are on wrong mode i mean you are on Gray Scale mode . Try that -> Image -> Mode -> RGB Color and try to change color again, i hope it work

Set the file to rgb... it set to gray scale.

Image>Mode>RGB
