I kept getting server issues and this and that so i did a system recovery. When i do a file search i find what i want but how do i get it back in my system so i can use it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got a program from my friend and tried to install it on my computer but half way through installing it stopped and said that the data folder for the installation wasn't in the right place on my computer. so i looked it up and it wasn't there but it was on the cd, so i copied and pasted it to the folder that it was supposed to be in and made sure everything was there but it still won't install. what else should i do?

Iam Useing windows Vista Home premium,but my laptop takeing somuch time to boot and ,though i have 1 GB Ram,160 GB HDD,it is takeing somuch time to open few applications ,iam planning to switch to windows XP,any one could give me suggestions about which one is better Neither vista or XP?

On initial loading or shortly thereafter the program hangs and I have to ctrl+alt+delete to end the task.

I am working on a project at home for work and have utilized fonts that are not on my work system. If these files are saved as a .pdf file, when I open them to print at work will it maintain the fonts that I have used originally? or will it subsitute them?

I can't find any good free programs that convert MIDI files to MP3. I did find several trial versions that did it, but they all had 60 second conversions. (Convert up to 60 seconds in the file but no more!)

If anyone knows some good software I would greatly appreciate it@ :P

I want to make a game sorta like Zelda/ using 2D sprites I can find on the internet, with spells, items, skills, ect. Even a turn based game creator where I could make custom sprites and skills they can use would rock. I tried this one game creator but I am looking for something very simple, and hopefully free? I don't plan to distribute it, or even play online (would be nice though..) I am just looking at something I can do in my spare time. If I could even make a game like vantage masters that'd rock.
