Usually a simple fix to any software's constant unresponsiveness is to uninstall the software and then reinstall it.

Click on Start > Settings > Control Panel > Add/Remove and then click once on the software's name to hilite it and then click on Remove on the right hand side. This will uninstall the software. Once done, insert the programs disk into the CD drive and follow the instructions to re-install it.

Sometimes things just get corrupted and won't function properly. Uninstalling the software will not remove or damage any files you have created previously with it. Those files are stored in My Documents and are not involved in the uninstall process at all. So give this a shot.

Hope this helps.

First, you don't have to restart the computer to shut down Word. Instead,

1. Press the Ctrl, Alt and Del keys at the same time.
2. Windows Task Manager will pop up.
3. Click the Applications Tab.
4. Select any running copies of Microsoft Word and click the End Task button.
5. You might get warning messages from Windows that the task(s) is(are) not responding and asking if it should still shut it(them) down. Say yes.
6. When you're finished, click the red-and-white X in the upper right-hand corner, or click on the File->Exit Task Manager menu item.

Now to try to solve the problem. Does this happen on only a specific file, or on all files? If on a specific file, that file may be corrupted and you may just have to give up on it.

You may need to re-load the Software?

Or go to the website for MS Updates and search for Word Updates which appear periodically.

You may need a MS Word Viewer for 2007 and you may need to upgrade the software using the downloads for MS Word.

If all else fails contact TECH SUPPORT at MSN or your ISP for asssitance.

GOOD LUCK! :-)

I'm not sure but you could always try add/remove programs> then choose Word> Then choose to repair installation.

Take it to the movies or a therapist. This should fix the problem.
