I have Vista and I have only experienced minor problems. Almost all my programs work normally, the typical PC user Vista will not experience many problems. Most issues are coming from large coorporations which have a huge network and far more things to worry about than a typical user. Most people on here will tell you to stick with XP and claim Vista is incompatible, but they likely don't have Vista and have never used it. I actually like all the new features. It may be that you do not have a good enough system to run Vista. Make sure you meet the requirements.

You can either add another GB of memory or downgrade to XP.
I would suggest XP for now.
