how do i recover my back up files on windows xp?

I kept getting server issues and this and that so i did a system recovery. When i do a file search i find what i want but how do i get it back in my system so i can use it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What files are you trying to reach?
because the files should stay in the same place they were.

Is it that you don't see them in the start-all programs?
because all installed and uninstalled products after the recovery point will be lost.. but will still be in your system.

Normal programs are installed under C:\Program Files
