i have a few excel worksheets that i want numbered. Is there any way to make excel put numbers automatically when i open a new sheet. I want something like an invoice number. I want to put a number in the corner like 0001 and i want to know if theres a way that when i open a new sheet the number will be 0002?

well, i just wanted to ask,
when you choose to start in safe mode,
you know that screen you get where it says, start in safe mode
start windows normally
ect
ect

is that screen part of windows, and if not where does it come from, and if so why does it ask how you want to start windows if its already started...
please xplain

I wish to make a leaflet on word, using a A4 sheet, folded like a pizza menu, how do I do it on word, I have got access to a colour printer that prints both sides so that side is all ok, but cant work out how to do it on word.

hey for some wierd reason as of about 2 hours ago when ever i click on my documents/my pictures on my pc all the names of files have disapeared!

i always have the view set too thumbnail as its just easier for me to view my files this way.
so all i see is the little squares with the pic in or a W icon in for word but no name underneath. so if i wanna open a word file i have no idea what it is unless i click on it.

if i change the view to list, tiles, icons etc the names all seem to be there as normal.
i'm rather comfused? some of the files are years old up to a week old and none of them have charactors in the names that you are not supposed to use.

also if i click on a thumbnail, when it opens up it all seems fine.

when i first noticed this i just closed my documents then opened it again and all the names reapeared.
but i opened it again later they had disapeared again
now its stuck

is this a sign of a virus?
could i have caught it off a removable hard drive?

I have no CD-ROM drive for my laptop and want to install XP OS using external CD-ROM drive. I know XP will restart the laptop in the middle of its installation. Will it find the external at that point?

I'm an IT professional, and often when I get to a client's place you'll find they lost a cd key for MS Office, or Windows, etc. I have to deal with this now, as their one workstation's HDD failed, and now has to be re Installed on another, but in their software packet I could only find the CDs for windows and Office, but no CD Keys, it is all original CDs, but no keys. Does anyone know of software to use to find the keys on these cds, I know these(especially Windows) are linked to the CDs, which means you should be able to get the key off the cd somehow.

I know this sound confusing, but any help would be appreciated.
