Your best bet is to get Windowblinds 5.0 for Windows XP. Windowblinds has a free trial download, and I think its around $20 to purchase after the trial runs up. Windowblinds 5.0 is able to handle transparencies, a key factor in Windows Vista. Since the Vista styles have transparent windows, no older versions of Windowblinds will work for that. There are numerous Vista skins that you can download free of charge from http://www.wincustomize.com.

I used Vista Transformation Kit and it changes most things to resemble Vista but the ugly black XP screen remains.

well of course you have to upgrade your Windows to Vista and if you want the AERO feature, your display adapter must support it.
