Software - December 2006

I have Microsoft Visual Basic 6 installed on my computer and I am using it for computer homework.

Problem is, I left my chapter review packet at school. I am on Chapter 8, review 4... It is a program about 'monthly payments' and 'percentage rates'... Is there a website online that I can use to view the chapter and review packet information? ((one of those packets that is premade and had an explanation of the stuff as you go along)) Thanks for the help :)

Scan Disk program keeps sutting down saying that a program is writting to the hard drive and needs to restart the SCAN DISK program. What does one need to do to be able to complete a SCAN DISK operation? Its an old compter that I use for solving long math programs and I need to cleanup the hard drive.

well the program that I am trying to get from lime wire is saying content removed, so I find a different one that works but once downloaded my McAfee security software says its a threat and deletes automatically it so I tried the rar download of the file and tried to install it but McAfee says its a Trojan or a worm and deletes it.

The programs I am trying to get are Poser 6 software and Bryce 6.0 software. Well I wonder if my computer has to be 64 bit computer to use them but I don't think so cause the computer I have is pretty powerful but some programs require computers to be 64 bit to run is really rare though.

This is what it always says:"The ordinal 56 could not be located in the dynamic link library iertutil.dll" I just got my laptop up & working eversince I was able to get rid of my Internet Explorer along with the iertutil.dll.Does anybody know what is wrong? This pop up keeps bugging me!

I'm using Windows right now, but if I have to switch to another OS, I'd rather use Linux than Macintosh. Kubuntu/Ubuntu for me =D Mac's too... Cult-ish and snobbish... Anyone agree? =) I loved Nanosaur and those AfterDark Games from Yum, though.

i run xp profesional on my pc, but i've forgotten the setted password, hence ican not get into the system. i've tried to re-install xp by going into bios and advance setup but to no avail, therefore, i thought of removing the system battery, but i have totally forgot what follow next, can you please enlighten me

After running certain programs (itunes or Google earth) all my other Windows programs act in slow motion. Minimizing or maximizing windows takes good 2-3 seconds and it goes slow. Any idea what the cause could be?
