I have a "advertismen" program on my computer and it won't remove via the "Add/Remove Programs" in the Control Panel. How can I manually remove it?

Without knowing the program involved its impossible to give any instructions you can use. You will need to know what files are involved in the program... what registray entries are made by the program when it installed and what files to disable while you do the uninstall. If it's infecting your computer it's probably hit someone else do a web search with the program name or file and you will most likely find a forum or website discussing ways to uninstall it...

click - start - (all) programs - then name of program ("advertismen") - and another window should open up next to that once your mouse arrow is pointing over it - in there you should see - uninstall - click on that and it should uninstall that program

if that doesn't work - look for the folder - right click on the folder and click delete

before doing the next step - you might want to reboot your computer to make sure everything is in working order

then go to the recycle bin - right click on the icon (on the desktop) - then click - empty recycle bin

make sure you back up your computer just in case there are other files associated with any of the files in that folder

you can always download third party program removal programs to get rid of the program

the only know of to manually remove the program is to acutally find the folder for the program and delete it, but you would also need to remove all shortcuts for it and manually edit your registry (not reccomended unless you know what you are doing)
