Because I have, and its an embarrassing attempt to fix Windows. Do NOT buy it...seriously. There are more pop-ups asking you if the computer can go to the bathroom or do little things that most people don't care about. It looks pretty...really pretty, but it is slower than XP. I recognize that Microsoft needed a change and that security was a big issue, but it feels largly patched together and unfinished. It will be expensive, slow, and annoying.

I work with the released version everyday at work. I had a Beta for a while, but now I have the 32-bit Ultimate edition. Has anyone else tried it? Do you concur with me?

I have a spreadsheet with many rows in it, but I want to do an option that when I scroll down the first two rows (the heading) do not disappear and kind of travel down when I scroll down. Any ideas how to do it?? Thanks a lot in advance.

I have an image that is 10 by 6.6 inches at 72 dpi (1016K). I change the canvas size to 4x6 and scale the image some (one of my methods of cropping. I then upload it to the website to order prints and it tells me it's not high enough quality. However, if I upload the original, it can be printed at 4x6. When I scale it using the free transform tool, does it reduce the pixels? How can I crop it to 4x6 without messing up the quality? I don't want to use the crop tool because I like to make the canvas size smaller then move the image around to find the best composition.

My computer won't boot. Error message says file "windows\system32\config\system" is missing or currupt and suggests I attempt to repair it by booting from my install CD and selecting "r" for repair. No problem . . . except that nothing happens and Microsoft provides no additional information on how to fix my problem. Further research says I should do this while running Windows, but that's the problem --- I cannot access Windows. Anyone know of a quick fix? I have to recover data on the hard drive before trying any clean installs of WinXP.

And please, sincere answers only: I do not intend to switch to a Mac or any other Microsoft alternative. Thanks in advance.

If your computer came with Windows XP and you installed an Office program of your own, do you think Mr. Microsoft has a way of getting into your computer and disabling it? I have had some computers (desktops) that I have installed operating programs on and they work for about six months, then they start messing up and then the windows screen locks up. I'm beginning to think that it's possible.
