Windows should automatically allocate more space towards virtual memory. I know XP does.
EDIT: Be careful what you listen to. There are a lot of answers from idiots who don't know what virtual memory is. vanman8u and John H are right, Rachel is clueless.

Go to Control Panel > System >
(or right click on My Computer > Properties)
Advanced > Performance [Settings] > Advanced (again!) > If you check on system managed size (default,) Windows will manage the Virtual Memory (Page File) for you!
"A page file is an area on the hard disk that Windows uses as if it were ram."
Sometimes the "low virtual memory" message comes up because your hard drive is full or needs defragmenting.
