I am getting a DISK BOOT FAILURE message on my computer screen. I inserted a system disk and it says it cannot find hard drive to continue set up. I then reseated all the cables and it still did not work. I bought a new hard drive and my system can not recognize anything is there. I took my computer to the store to have them solve the problem. They reconfigured the IDE cables to the old and new hard drive. They were able to get to Windows with no problem. When I took the computer home and plugged it in, it told me DISK BOOT FAILURE. I took the computer back to the store and it was able to boot up to windows there. So I go back home and plug it in and again it is telling me DISK BOOT FAILURE after messing around with it, i booted up to windows but after about 10 minutes, it said DISK BOOT FAILURE again. Can it be my motherboard is messed up? or my IDE cables are bad? or is my power supply causing the problems?

Do I need a certain type of drive? I have a d and an e but whenever I put the DVD in it doesn't play. Do I need a certain drive in my computer? Or a program? Thanks a whole bunch.

How do I format a DVD-RW or DVD-R Disc, what program do I use?, I already tried NERO but that only has the option to erase. The DVDs are blank so there is nothing to erase. I need to format so that I can record on a seperate component system, which is requiring that I format the disc.

i have done as the above describe yet on reinstalling the file, was reenstated with the account that i had actually deleted before i got rid of msn od@etc.. ,funny thing is though, i cant even access the bloody account even though i know the password, it just stays 'signing in for as long as i let it, i left it for an hour once! whats going on there then?

Hi help please, flash files in IE7 will not play all security settings/permissions checked.
Netscape and Firefox no problem at all.
I would ditch IE but a connected problem has arisen - flash files will no longer play in Blaze Media pro either, could this be an associated .dll problem if so would a windows repair fix it.

I used to copy DVDs quite happily using dvd shrink. I had movie files and tried to back them up, it goes through all the motions of analyzing etc but when it comes to copying it onto disc it spits the disc out and this message comes up..............can you tell me whats wrong and how to fix it ?

If anybody can help , it would be much appreciated. My files are fine and can watch the originals from my computer no problem. But once I burn them, there isn't any sound on the dvd its self. Anybody has insight on this?

So, I had the Windows Movie Maker thing and everything went fine. But, then, I deleted the account I was using for it. At the time I deleted the account, all of my users had Movie Maker. Now, I have created a new one and it doesn't have it on there. How do you access the movie maker? Can you get to it from your media player? Please no suggestions from Microsoft. I webt to the website and it had nothing usefull on it. All it had was "Do you want to upload you movie maker" and all the answers to the most easiest questions!
